I am a cake decorator, artist, and designer working out of Los Angeles, California. Growing up in Southern California, I dreamt of being an artist and took advantage of every opportunity to learn about art techniques and history. I moved to Paris as a teenager and there I found my second love in the Culinary Arts.
My formal training began at Parsons School of Design in New York City, followed by an MFA in Painting from the Cranbrook Academy of Art in Detroit. I also continued my culinary education at Le Cordon Bleu Culinary School in Scottsdale. Upon returning to California, I worked at Rosebud Cakes in Beverly Hills where I developed and honed my cake decorating skills. I left in 2012 to start my own cake and chocolate company, Bohnhoff & Kent.
I have appeared in multiple Food Network competition shows, including Halloween Wars, SugarDome, Cake Wars, and Cake Wars Champs. My cake designs have appeared in InStyle, The Knot, and Art & Cake Magazine. My first client, Lady Gaga, began sending cakes as gifts to hundreds of friends, collaborators and fellow artists.
Now I am excited to be sharing my love of cake decorating and art with others. There is so much fun to be had with this versatile and delicious medium. Even happy accidents are yummy when you play with cake!
